D.S. Wilson is a seasoned and dynamic American jazz musician, composer, producer and performer currently living in Chicago, Illinois. Wilson’s sound primarily features the saxophone and blurs the lines between jazz, funk, rock, pop and blues, with smooth and memorable sax melodies. These are accentuated with the use of funky drum and bass rhythms, alongside artful guitars and tasteful use of keyboards.
Listening to Wilson’s music, one can hear influences from the likes of David Sanborn, Dave Koz, Gerald Albright, Steely Dan and Dave Matthews- artists who have continually inspired Wilson.
Over the years D.S. Wilson has worked with Grammy-nominated artists and producers and has played and released music in various genres including rock, pop and blues.
