Dale believes that the most gratifying experience is the ability to develop relationships with many different artists over the years. It is this love for community and this thirst to learn and teach that colours the enigmatic music that Dale produces. With years of experience Dale is well-acquainted with the power of music in touching souls most intimately, he spends dutiful hours trying to create the perfect musical vision for the artists he works with and for the audiences to tune into.

Some of Dale’s most famous collaborations include artists such as Nickelback, Tik-Tok Sensations SM6, FOX Tubi Network, Joey Santiago (Pixies), Jim Barr (Portishead), KD Lang, and many more. In addition to Nickelback, Penner has worked with several other mainstream pop household names including Loverboy for his very first engineering session at Mushroom Studios in Vancouver, for their “Top Gun” soundtrack song and Top 15 hit “Heaven in Your Eyes”. Back when he was engineering regularly, he also contributed to Jamie Walters/The Heights’ number 1 hit “How Do You Talk to An Angel.”

Despite 30 years of hit-helping and hit-making, Dale has never focused on his accolades – only the adventurous sounds and dynamic contemporary crossing his console or through the Session. He is excited about the ten tracks he recently helmed for SM6, an LA area-originated pop/rock band of six siblings (ages 14-22) who became global TikTok sensations and whose latest single “Oddity” has over 1M Spotify streams.
