As a model, Kanya has credited work with Redkin, Framisi, and Creations. She taught modeling for Barbizon School of Modeling & Agency in San Francisco, California and in 1994 presented her talents for Oil of Olay and Pantene. A versatile talent, since 1989, Kanya has continually studied the art and discipline of song composition. In 1997, Kanya co-wrote the single release of BabyLove with S.Roberts for Narada Michael Walden's Tarpan Records, and in 1998 the two teamed again to successfully compose the single "Summertime" for ARC Records. Since 2002, Kanya has written lyrics and recorded songs for CBS's "The Young And The Restless" as well as ABC's "All My Children" associated with Heavy Hitters Music Publishing. In 1993, Kanya worked in live performance with Blues artist, Theodis Ealy: and followed in 1994 & 1995 in concert performances for the legendary Rock & Roll recording artist, Little Richard. She is a nature vocalist with a smooth and silky voice here performing "Can't Make You Love Me" written in conjunction with Reggie Washington of "G" Reggie Reg Productions.
