A striking and enticing musical composition, ‘Desperado Debutante’ marks Grammy-nominated Opera singer and artist, Sonia Kazarova’s sublime return to her Colorado roots. The concept album, complete with 11 music videos in a film format, has been produced by Grammy-winning producer Mitch Dane at Sputnik Sound in Nashville, Tennessee.

Amplified by Sonia Kazarova’s gifted, world-class vocals, ‘Desperado Debutante’ is a rich, authentic, and passionate melodic journey which will take listeners by surprise. The first release from the project ‘Desperado Debutante’ went live March 25th, 2022, with each new release from this project is soulful, touching, and thoroughly gripping, paying testament to the singer’s storytelling depth and prowess.

Counting the likes of Dolly Parton, Celine Dion, Puccini, Nina Simone, Bernadette Peters, Paul Simon, Beethoven, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Luciano Pavarotti and many others amidst her inspirations, Sonia’s music is a distinctive, original addition to Country and Americana.

Melding original and immersive storytelling with the finest orchestration, colored by the likes of Mozart, Puccini, Beethoven, and Rachmaninoff to name a few, Sonia’s music evokes a classical country flair straight from the 70’s/90s era.

Sonia intends to support her freshman album with a Rodeo tour of North America, spanning Arizona, New Mexico, Calgary, Stampede, Wyoming, Frontier Days, and back home to Colorado, as well as shows in Los Angeles and a Summer Tour. ‘Desperado Debutante’ will release like a miniseries complete with music videos complete with cliff-hanger transitions.  Fans can expect more in the shape of a follow-up album, which will continue the cohesive story format and is set to enter production in March 2023.

ABOUT

Sonia Marie Kazarova is Grammy Nominated Artist, Country Opera Singer Songwriter, Actress, and Philanthropist. Born in Colorado, the eclectic artist with a BFA from the University of Illinois and has received professional classical training as an opera singer in both Vienna, Austria, and in the US. Awarded a prestigious scholarship to the Opera in the Ozarks Young Artist, Sonia Kazarova was received a Fullbrite invitation for Opera Performance at Konservatorium Wien, in Vienna Austria and experienced the distinct honor of working with the great Maestra Montserrat Caballe in other Masterclass and as a participant in Concorso Montserrat Caballe, Zaragoza Spain.
