As a musician, what is your definition of success?

Success is music being the day job. success is connecting with an audience and creating music that outlasts me.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Perfect happiness is a day on the beach with my wife and kids and then popcorn and movie night.

What is your present state of mind?

My present state of mind is grateful and humble. we live in crazy times so being able to spend time with the ones I love is a blessing.

What is your most treasured possession?

My most treasured position is my spiderman #1 comic I got for my 12th birthday many years ago. it was a complete surprise and I couldn’t afford it when it first came out and then my cousin surprised me on my birthday with it.

What do you enjoy doing most?

I enjoy turning a concept into a song the most. it’s a voyage of discovery; you always have ideas but when you get down to it you discover worlds of possibility. it’s like the song was already written and I had to just navigate the sonic landscape to hear it. when I can capture the song that I hear and then record and communicate it back to people I know that no one else could have done that. it’s very life-affirming and validating.

Where would you like to be in 10 years’ time?

In 10 years I would like to be leading Dozenz of producers and songwriters to put out thousands of memorable tunes.
