Lexis is a British record producer, rapper and songwriter. Known for a production style that incorporates elements of neo-soul and jazz with hip-hop, Lexis credits the likes of the late J Dilla, Pete Rock and Madlib as his biggest influences. In 2013 the Hertfordshire based artist released his first EP Black Lounge Relaxed with all 5 of the EP tracks produced by Lexis himself. The EP’s sound has often been described as reminiscent of the “golden age of hip-hop” with a production technique consisting of delicate soulful grooves and a tremendous amount of depth, enhanced by the compelling vocal performances of singers Jebonair and Jason Chase. This is combined with potent lyrics from Lexis that articulately discuss intimate tales of his life and more.
