Dizzy Box Nine Explodes Back Onto the Music Scene with New Album!

Looking to make a huge impact with Last Call Before the Fall, L.A. alternative/indie band Dizzy Box Nine strikes hard with 12 “interesting, surprising, and authentic” tracks!

Los Angeles, California – October 15^th, 2021 – Dizzy Box Nine returns with its highly anticipated album Last Call Before the Fall.  This is the follow-up to Faster Than Anticipation, which peaked at #176 on the college radio charts,  where it remained in the top 250 for seven straight weeks!  Last Call Before the Fall features 12 unique tracks, that all interestingly fit together to reveal different angles of a melodic journey.  Yet, “this is not just a collection of catchy 3-chord pop songs, there’s actually an interesting level of depth, melodicism, and authenticity to these songs” (L.A. Music Press).  Singer-guitarist, and band founder Randy Ludwig says, “we strive to create songs that feel good to listen to, but we also strive to create pictures and images with our lyrics and with our sounds.  We want to connect with the listener in meaningful ways, while still creating something that feels good to listen to.”  Randy continues, “a good song can serve as a time-travel device, sometimes taking you into the past, and at other times taking you into the future.”

Last Call Before the Fall seems to have this tendency.  There are several upbeat numbers such as “Show Me Everything That You Are,” “Name,” “Sunset,” and “GPA,” which seem to energize you and make you want to move around.  And, there are others, such as “Coca-Cola,” “Everything,” and “1978,” which seem to be more hypnotic, and take you on a journey through the depths of your mind.  Perhaps L.A. Music Press says it best when they say some of these songs “remind you of the good times in life, and others seem to transform you into a trance-like contemplative state where you seem to have permission to feel kind of good and bad at the same time.”

Dizzy Box Nine has been compared to bands such as the Refreshments, MxPx, Jimmy Eat World, the Police, the Cars, Enanitos Verdes, and RHCP.  However, they have created their own signature sound which seems to blend the strongest elements of pop/punk and alternative/rock together to create a new and exciting sound.  The official release date for Last Call Before the Fall is October 15th 2021, and is available in all major formats.  Dizzy Box Nine can often be seen playing live shows all around the L.A. area, including their current favorite venue, the Mint.
