James McDowell is known as a force to be reckoned with when it comes to producing and creating awe-inspiring social justice anthems and songs that carry a message
Baltimore, ML – February 3rd, 2021- Up-and-coming artist and producer, James McDowell is all set to inspire and motivate with his fresh new song cantered around the theme of social justice and equality in the backdrop of the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States. The stunning new single underlines the inequalities currently actively perpetuated in the United States driven by power dynamics and race relations. Aptly titled “Hard to Live”, the single helps shed light on the American “injustice” system for minorities and the raw and burning realities that transpire because of the injustices every day such as racial profiling against the Black community.
The fresh and stunning single titled “Hard to Live” is composed by James McDowell himself and is sung by Ines Nassara, who offers her beautiful vocals to the single and complement’s McDowell beautifully. James’ talented songwriting created a moving ballad that encapsulates the true extent of race relations in today’s fast-paced world. The song has a positive message that gives hope to those in need of it and is a breathtaking single that will resonate with many in the US.
James McDowell and Ines Nassara beautifully complement each other in “Hard to Live” narrating a much-needed story about the racial inequality that is actively nurtured in today’s American society and the ways it manifests itself through day-to-day interactions, issues specific to the Black community, and the everyday struggles that minorities are forced to undergo as part of the inequity that represents the modern status quo. With stunning vocals and fitting, soulful lyricism and songwriting, the song is able to masterfully reflect the true ethos of society and narrate the troubles, trials and tribulations that can be related by many Americans today.

James McDowell has been a musical composer since 1982, working on songwriting and independently producing musical compositions that inspire, motivate and narrate burning, important tales about social justice and equality.
In recent years, James has taken a new approach to music, a change in direction in his musical compositions. In James’ words: “Beside the loss of my vision, I have experienced the loss of my wife as well as some of my friends. I started to realize that people are just trying to find something in life to give them comfort, joy, happiness, and hope”. It is with this motivation and mantra in mind that James is intent on creating positive messages in the world and using his platform and voice to help the most vulnerable actors in society.
Reflecting and focusing on social justice issues that overwhelmingly dominate our lives nowadays, James is happy to have the stunning presence of featuring artist Ines Nassara to create music that is needed.
