A story of resilience, faith, and music
Windsor, Ontario, Canada – March 9th 2021 – The new and upcoming artist Gidz released a new song last month on February 24th. Titled "We Were Family," the track was recorded and produced at MAD Recording Studio. An R&B genre composition, this track is a blend of pop and hip hop and will leave listeners pleasantly surprised. The lyrical content is also loaded with meaning, primarily because the story behind this work has a lot of sentimental value.
Drawing inspiration from his teenage, artist Gidz reflects on that phase of life and the lessons he learned. As a young boy, the artist believed that he could forge genuine, lasting friendships with just about anyone. However, after several events proving him wrong, an adolescent Gidz pondered upon the lessons learned. This resulted in shifting his priorities, and he started to focus on other things that were more 'real.' This story is the inspiration for the latest single, "We Were Family." Life experiences in general, like this one, have contributed to the artist's budding musical career.
Gidz's single has received traction due to the catchy lyrical content and its creative storytelling. The song is a story about a lesson most people learn growing up, making it highly relatable. Moreover, the artist's vocals are distinct, resulting in a composition that feels like a breath of fresh air.
Gidz finds his motivation in close relations with family, friends, and God. He believes that having been gifted with a good voice, it is his responsibility to use it to heal people and help them come out of difficult life phases.

Newer inspirations include Lil Baby, Gunna, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Koffee Tory Lanez, Yung Bleu, and Don Toliver - with all of whom the young artist hopes to make music one day. However, for now, Gidz is planning to open a studio and create a recording label. He wants to record his own music and wishes to help talented young artists make their voices heard.

Hailing from one of the most impoverished countries globally, the artist's story is one of resilience and having faith.
