Studio City, California - October 19, 2020 - Zimar impressed with the release of his debut ‘Abstraktions V’ in 2019. Now he’s back with a brand new single, “Let It Go.”
Electronic music started as an underground phenomenon in the United States with fans only ever hearing it in the dead of night at raves and in the best nightclubs. In recent years the genre has managed to go mainstream, with major artists in various genres adopting aspects of electronic into their own music. While heard on Top 40 stations now, purists still seek out electronic that is true to the form. That is why artists such as Zimar are sought after by electronic fans near and far.
Zimar released the EP ‘‘Abstraktions V’ in 2019. Half a dozen songs deep, this EP features a creative combination of lounge, downtempo, and electronic groove. “Ohh Ahh” opens the record with a laidback confidence, “Midnight” delivers a Metropolitan chic beat, and “The Seduction” brings about nothing but truth as it’s as sensual as a Barry White track playing by candlelight. That last sentiment was carried well into 2020 with the release of his latest single, “Let It Go,” available now on all major music and streaming sites.
An electronic mastermind, Zimar has been setting an example for the genre for some time as the owner of Abstrakt Reality Records in the ‘90s when electronic was still underground. He says of that time and moving forward in the present, “That label gave me insight into the inner workings of the indie music industry. Things have changed since the '90s and now I compose as an artist with a clearer mind and no stressful expectations regarding my musical releases.”
