Pittsburgh, PA — September 13th, 2022 – A unique and phenomenal musical collective, Essential Machine is a magnetizing Indie Rock family band. Delivering energetic, bold, and exciting musical compositions, the eclectic group hopes to enthuse listeners with their 7-track new EP, ‘Exponential Crisis.’
The electrifying new EP is bound to put the talented band on the Rock map and showcase their striking, inimitable arsenal of tunes and vocals. With expert instrumentation, powerful vocals, and captivating rhythms, ‘Exponential Crisis’ underscores Essential Machine’s awe-inspiring ingenuity.
‘Exponential Crisis’ was released on May 20th, 2022, and marks Essential Machine’s seventh release. Their first six albums were self-released, after which the trio partnered with Pittsburgh DIY tape label Lemon Tree Records for ‘Exponential Crisis.’
An immensely creative act in the Rock world, Essential Machine is a family band and plans to supplement their new EP with a tour in October 2022. The band includes eclectic guitarist-singer RJ alongside his wife Karen, who plays the drums, and their son Robert who plays bass and synth keys.
Essential Machine first made its mark in the music world as a duo in 2009, led by RJ and Karen Dietrich. The couple’s son Robert joined the band in 2015 when he was 14 years old, adding a new and unique sound to their palette.
The artists’ newest record ‘Exponential Crisis’ is already receiving an increasing number of streams and has seen radio play around the United States, with the song “Almost Outta Here” charting on the Top 200 NACC chart in June 2022.
Essential Machine remains motivated by its goal and plan of including more touring and continuing to write and release entertaining, original music. The band is galvanized by a desire to connect with music lovers who want to feel less alone in an isolating world.
The group plans on releasing a record of demo tracks and previously unreleased music this fall, which will be titled ‘Lost Cats.’
