New York, New York — 26th April 2023 – Solemn Pledge, the extremely talented rock music duo composed of Maria Genevieve Elia and Michael Justin Lee, are the most prominent new creators in the Rock Opera genre.
With their latest release, they employ a variety of Rock Music styles to tell the story of Cleopatra. From upbeat early 1960’s style pop rock to heavy metal to grunge to deep nasty blues, they create songs in which the musical styling as well as the lyrics relate the tragedy of Cleopatra’s life.
Their songs “Brother Enemy” and “Ascendance” are brilliant singles that showcase the true extent of the artists’ talent. “Brother Enemy” is a very melodic hard rock song that sets the stage for the album by introducing Cleopatra and the start of her epic story: being run out of Egypt by her brother. Following it, “Ascendance” is a very upbeat early 1960’s style rock number in which she declares victory over him.
