This collection of music comes from a deeply personal place, drawing from personal experiences and emotions to help create a mix of music that truly represents the toils and turmoil of those in the present. Each single imparts a unique lesson packed with upbeat tunes, providing solace to forlorn souls.

Keyhan formally produced this collection of music during 2019-2021 before, during, and even after the pandemic. The songs represent a sense of deep introspection and turn to self-love and celebration. The music hides a painful and empowering journey that has helped the singer finally bring the music to the public. The eclectic star has produced this mix of music all alone, aided with simply a guitar, mic, and the Garageband application of his Macbook. This has resulted in an extremely creative collection of symphonies that breaks the redundancy of the musical industry.

What sets the songwriter’s music apart from the standard, run-of-the-mill post-punk/doomerwave is the Oriental (specifically ... on the sub-genre in addition to a more stripped-down song structure coupled with poetic lyrics. Back in the 2010s, there was nothing that the young star found that truly resonated with his soul. In a bid to discover music that truly spoke to the heart, Keyhan stumbled on doomer playlists and bands and got immensely inspired. This is what he now calls the new next chapter in Rock N Roll History continuing the 1990s Grunge and Alt-Rock era from where it left off.

Keyhan says that “There is no artist out there either known to me or in my view that is consciously trying to enlighten and transform people spiritually and free them from suffering and sorrow like a contemporary Buddha or other Dharma Master would.” It is for this reason that the musician’s goal of his project is to do precisely that with danceable pop tunes disguising deeper urban and societal messages, laced with reverb and ambiance. A welcome new addition that broadens the horizons of the pop genre in music.

ABOUT

Keyhan The Freeman is a singer-songwriter from North Toronto (known alternatively as Tehranto) who believes in the true need for cathartic music. There are videos of the rising star singing that go back as far back as the 90s when he was a little kid, but his recording material that has survived goes as far back as 2017 (albeit under a different alias).

The artist’s music is indebted to alt-rock/indie rock’s lo-fi production and is also laced with reverb and ambiance. Moreover, it would also contain stripped-down melodies that are pop sensible, a bleak lyrical worldview, a three-chord radio rock song structure, and danceable beats among other characteristics.
