After promising debut: Sunset Mavericks release second single, „A Leap of Faith“

Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany — After their promising debut „Miss you as a Friend“, Hamburg-based Americana-Band Sunset Mavericks released „A Leap of Faith“ on Friday, November 3^rd.

The second original of the Band is a light singalong-number that extends the band’s range within the Americana genre. An added electric guitar brings a swing feel to the song, also the overall arrangement is set to fully serve the lead vocals of Lillemor Spitzer.

Once more, the Sunset Mavericks present a relatable story over a catchy melody. This time, it’s about entering a relationship whilst knowing this one won’t be easy, with one side playing mind games and the other side knowingly playing along. „A Leap of Faith“ represents the second song within a series of singles that are being published by the Sunset Mavericks over the course of several months. The first single „Miss you as a Friend“ received considerable airplay in the US as well as the UK and many other countries.

„It was a blast recording this one“, singer Lillemor Spitzer elaborates. „The story has actually taken place in a close friend’s life recently, so the writing came quite natural to us. We believe that many people can relate.“

The first single received nice reviews, for instance by Zoe Hodges, Editor of the UK-based Maverick Magazine: „They [Sunset Mavericks] are certainly one to keep a close eye on.“ Also, Radio DJs from many countries reacted encouranginly, exemplified here by Trudy Burke, WYN FM Radio, Australia: “Lots of competition about and this is different enough to play.“

 

Like “Miss you as a Friend”, the new single was produced in the German cities of Hamburg and Hannover and mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London.

“A Leap of Faith” was published on November 3rd on all major streaming platforms.
