Raised in a small town in Texas, Alma J. Reed was brought up in a strong Christian family composed of her parents, as well as her five brothers and sisters. They were raised in the church her grandfather was the pastor at. He was one of the main reasons she found music, as it was he who noticed her love of singing and encouraged her to step up and start singing in the choir. She was only six-years-old when she sang her first solo, “Jesus Love Me.” Her sisters had a singing group then, but she didn’t join until she was 12. They sang at every church service they could, but as she got older - things changed, She moved and while she could no longer sing at the church that started it all, she found music again at a new church she and her husband became a part of. Now, Alma J. Reed wants to spread the gospel through song with the release of not only “Jesus Are You Here,” but her other music as well.
