‘No More Blues’ opens with the lively “Constant Fight” before giving way to the title track that is what blues-dreams are made of. From the press of play, the arrangement wraps you in a blanket of musical warmth, as does Brad James Swallow’s vocals. Throughout Swallow finds the balance between traditional blues and that of the Louisiana swamps as he takes on some B.B. King classics; “Thrill is Gone” and “Rock Me Baby.” 

Brad James Swallow got his start in the clubs of Louisiana playing in various bands over the past four decades including the Late great Roscoe Chenier. During that time he also found himself working alongside Blues Hall of Famer Lil’ Buck Sinegal. They connected in recent years to work on ‘No More Blues,’ in which Lil’ Buck Sinegal is on three of the original tracks. Sadly, Brad James Swallow, and the music world, lost Lil’ Buck Sinegal shortly after ‘No More Blues’ was completed. Today, the blues singer looks at this album as bittersweet in that regard.
