Toms River, NJ — US Roots Rocker DownTown Mystic will release a new single Eyes of The World and a new album Rock’n’Roll 4 The Soul, the follow-up to last year’s career-defining AmeriKarma album. As with previous releases, Rock’n’Roll 4 The Soul features stellar musicians, including the Hall of Fame rhythm section of The E Street Band—Max Weinberg & Garry Tallent, as well as Steve Holley & Paul Page from Ian Hunter’s Rant Band.
The Eyes of The World single drops at Radio on January 22. DownTown Mystic’s last single Day of Reckoning garnered strong radio airplay on over 4000 stations in 30 countries. The Rock’n’Roll 4 The Soul album will be digitally released on February 9 and distributed worldwide via The Orchard/Sony Music.
Rock’n’Roll 4 The Soul brings the roots rocker back to where it all began. DownTown Mystic writer/producer Robert Allen remembers, “I was producing modern rockers The Discontent and started to get the urge to record my own music again. I decided to cut 6 songs with the band just to see how they would turn out.” Robert continues, “I finished 3 tracks and decided to release Lost and Found as DownTown Mystic on a Radio Industry CD Sampler. I got a call that the track was played by tastemaker Jed The Fish as his “catch of the day” on his drive time show on KROQ in LA. That’s how DownTown Mystic got discovered.”
DownTown Mystic is also one of the top sync-licensed indie artists with music placed in over 240 TV shows and films. 2023 started with a song featured on Fox TV’s popular 911:Lonestar with Rob Lowe. 2024 promises more of the same with a song in the upcoming movie Everything’s Going to Be Great starring Bryan Cranston and Allison Janney.
With the breakthrough success of the AmeriKarma album last year, this is the year when the world gets some Rock’n’Roll 4 The Soul.
