Hines Devine Jazz’s New Song Is A Burst Of Creativity

Centennial, Colorado- August 24, 2020 - Duo Hines Devine Jazz has taken the isolation caused by the pandemic to create musical magic. “Emergence” is a musical story of how the musicians endured and created.

“Emergence” is an EP featuring the combined talents of John Hines and Donna DeVine with an amazing Trombone Jazz sound. The EP’s track contains a trombone lead on the strong melodies, but also sounds from an amazing guitar, electric keyboards, synth, and even string ear candy. The song is upbeat and catchy as well as a melodic jazz hybrid. The song has already garnered one award: 3rd place in the 2020 International Trombone Competition, sponsored in Europe by the Hungarian Trombone Association.

John Hines and Donna DeVine are the geniuses behind the ensemble. They are modern jazz musicians with an unusual combination of melodic jazz trombone solos and uniquely contemporary jazz vocals. The entire catalog of their work represents a liberation from the stereotypical jazz norm: while they are comfortably bringing jazz classic standards to a new generation, they are also embracing quality music of more recent years, including arrangements of some of the most contemporary hits. They actively bring today’s tunes to live jazz music, garnering them fans of all ages.
