México, México, Mexico — HUGOCUBAKA, is Hugo Cuitláhuac Bonilla Rosales.  Singer (mainly Rock), composer, designer, actor, teacher of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts.  Member of the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico.

In his 30-year career, he has created more than 500 songs;  he has written theater, short stories, poetry;  and designed costumes and sets.

He has recorded 5 LPs, and has been a tenor in Rock Band, Grand Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Big Band and Jazz Ensemble.

He today promotes his debut solo album “Bengala y Piel”. Is currently promoting his first musical production as a soloist, titled: “Bengala y Piel”, which contains 11 original songs in Spanish: written, composed, performed, recorded, mixed and fully mastered by himself.

In order to promote this work, he is launching it in 2 new versions: “Reamstered” and “Speed Up”.

A “remastered” version, titled B and P r-master, which contains the same songs, but newly remastered, and another in the “speed up” which consists of the same songs, but recorded with a higher beat. Both launches are scheduled for the beginning of 2024.
The composition of my first symphony is currently in development, and I hope to be able to release it in mid-2024 as well.

ABOUT

HUGOCUBAKA is my stage name.  My official name is Hugo Cuitláhuac Bonilla Rosales.

Musician, Artist of Mexican origin.

Trained at school, and even more so on stage.

I have been a teacher of Music, Theatre, Dance, Fine Arts and Art History in public and private schools, for basic, basic intermediate, high school and professional level students.

I am a member of the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico, with Member Number 31566.

For more than 20 years I have developed as a singer, performer (Front Man), composer and writer of modern popular music.

I have written plays, stories, poems, essays and analyses.

I have designed costumes, sets and choreographies for different public and private shows.

He has appeared as “Front Man” in various locations in the Mexican Republic, such as most of the Mayor’s Offices of Mexico City, popular fairs organized by the Mexican Youth Institute and the Government of the Federal District and the States of Guerrero;  Mexico, Hidalgo, Morelos, Puebla, Veracruz, etc.  Also in Theaters and Public Cultural Forums;  as well as in private centers such as the Hard Rock in Acapulco, the Hard Rock in Mexico City, Rockotitlán, RockStock, Rock Train, El callejo, el Caché, etc.

I have recorded 5 albums in professional recording studios.

I have been criticized in magazines like “La Mosca” and “Connect”;  and my music has been broadcast on radio stations with audiences in Mexico and abroad, such as: Rock 101, Radio Ibero, WFM, Alpha, Órbita, Radio Guerrero, etc.

As a classical music singer, I have sung masses and operas as a tenor in a Grand Choir with Orchestra and Chamber Choir and as a soloist works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Botazzo, Verdi, Strauss, etc.

I have also sung with Big Band and Jazz Ensemble, American popular songs in English and boleros in Spanish.
