Painting Expressive Lyricism through Jazz and Brazilian Blends: Annie Addington Unveils New Single “Another Fool”

With an enriching new jazz single, Annie Addington pierces through the heart and mind, compelling listeners to untangle the many emotions they are experiencing.

SARASOTA, FL, US— January 28th^, 2022- Expressing authentic and real feelings and eliciting raw sentiments in audiences, Annie Addington presents listeners an energetic exchange of shared experiences. Having unveiled this for listeners after significant efforts into making her captivating CD, ‘In a Midnight Wind’, which dropped in September 2019, she is now anxious to be heard.

A multi-genre hit, the CD features the scintillating single, “Another Fool”, which showcases the multifaceted talents of Annie coupled with other contemporary musicians. The artist is complemented by the likes of John Esposito on keyboards, Dwayne Burno on Bass, Peter O’Brien on drums, and Greg Glassman on the trumpet.

The eclectic artist also remains engrossed in her project, ‘The Search for Peace Project’, taking
McCoy Tyner’s Search for Peace as an inspiration. Her idea involves crafting an interactive piece of music and reaching out to other musicians over the world to highlight to the world their individualized talents and gifts. The pilot project already features Jamil Ghattas , having recreated the piano, bass and saxophone tracks, while David Picton provides a striking drum track.

A trove of talent, Annie Addington has written lyrics for the tune, which also gives space for two solo artists.  One of these features involves François de Lima on trombone and is titled, ‘Search for Peace #1’. Meanwhile, ‘Search for Peace #2’ involves Jonathan Godfrey on guitar. Currently, the artist is looking forward to other like-minded and promising individuals looking inward for the search for peace to contribute with their own individuality. With a long history ranging on three continents, Annie Addington sings Jazz, Brazilian, both Bossa and MPB, in both languages, and R&B, and Blues. She is also an original song writer.

Having lived and performed in Berlin, Germany for 16 years, where she performed both Jazz and original music,  Annie has experience performing in two duets.  One of original music with her German partner, Bertold Schramm and now with Brazilian keyboardist and arranger, Jamil Ghattas.   She has also collaborated with the famous Russian Heavy Metal band, Olga Rozhnova and Voyage,  for over 3 years. This combination also resulted in the creation of an original single, “Face to Face”, written in collaboration with Bertold, Olga and her husband, Sasha.   The video was filmed at Moscow 1,  was played at the Gorbachev-Bush Summit.

Annie Addington is a proficient and seasoned name in the realm of music.

Finishing her BA in Music along with 4 years of Graduate School at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music, the artist received a 2-year Masters in Jazz Performance (with Jon Faddis) and a 2-year Masters in Composition degree (with Joel Thome). During that time, Annie also had the experience of teaching Music and Drama at Oakwood Friends School, and in New York City.  She now looks forward to exploring her musical inspirations and creating a lasting impact by performing and composing new material.
