Presenting some highly individualized deep house beat selections, the artist chooses to let the music inspire the listener’s imagination and transport them into a universe of their creation. Occasionally, PPJ also sprinkles in some deeply introspective lyricism into their pulsing rhythms.
PPJ places a heavy emphasis on independence during the creation of their music. Almost every element of each song is delicately constructed. This means that each strum, synth, and snare was designed and produced to serve a certain purpose in each music. When asked about this, PPJ explains that this process allows him two things. The first is an incredible amount of freedom during the musical production process which allows him to bring his artistic vision to life without any kind of external influence. The second is that such freedom permits him to pay an enormous amount of detail to each section of the song until it is to their liking.
The lack of lyricism does not mean that songs are bereft of themes. On the contrary, PPJ does his best to inspire themes such as ownership of one’s actions, freedom, carefreeness, and many more by adjusting tones, tempos and rhythms until the intended emotional effect is produced within the listener.
