‘The Great American Dream’ is Rocky Michaels’ first step in the music realm and he delivered. With an Americana meets indie rock feel, Michaels is like a troubadour. A storyteller with tales to spread from “Book of Memories” to “One Step Back” to his May 2020 single, “Our Time Is Now.” Always inspired by the world around him, “Our Time Is Now” encourages doing one’s part to help the world continue to prosper. No matter how small the effort, this song will make listeners realize that even the smallest step in the right direction is still progress.
Rocky Michaels got his start at the age of five. It was then he learned piano. As he got older, he found himself immersed in writing lyrics. After college he co-formed a rock band and played throughout the San Francisco Bay area. While they never reached the heights of stardom, it was a lesson in staying true to oneself in terms of style. Today, he’s a solo artist with a songwriter’s heart. Armed with a pen, he created a fantastic debut, with a cascade of radio worthy singles, including “Our Time Is Now.”
