This is a narrative concept album that mixes real life and fantasy together, a story about the understanding of HeEro and his mission to protect the worl 2/2 d's innocence. The story is told by an Oracle, who is speaking to a Dark Entity about the innocence of The Child.
More on HeEro: Innovator & Artist HeEro, Born Atryu Ken-trell Johnson of Louisiana, began his journey in a musical household, and continued the creative climb throughout his early years – mastering the art-form; endlessly building upon a fine balance between passion and unquestionable skill.
No genre lacked appeal, leading him through the catalogues of rock legends as much as Gospel acts, hip hop leaders, and heavy metal pioneers. Whatever the style, story-telling and soul lie at the heart of his work.
A deep running love for music has, over time, met with a personal journey riddled with turmoil and emotional difficulty. The break up of his family home hit with immense impact, during which time HeEro found solace in Japanimation and American cartoons – connecting with the realness and heart at the core of the tales; as well as with the music that inevitably cemented those stories in memory. In particular, the artist Yoko Kanno offered a guiding light, a hint of possibility and optimism. Her music inspired and energized HeEro, introducing him to new artistic avenues, new realms of music, and soon enough – years of pent up frustration and angst would be released in the form of rap battling.
A new world emerged, a community of similarly misunderstood and disconnected youths, eagerly seeking somewhere to belong. Then came songwriting, an act that helped the healing process, and motivated a life-long interest in creative expression and music production.
The art of rap continued to fascinate, legends from Hip Hop’s past filled the airwaves to keep him focused on greatness. Trial and error commenced – new beats, new lyrics, continuous perfecting of the art of performance. Before long, collaboration called, influencing HeEro to unite with equally driven and talented friends. The chemistry was clear, and things began to build – the skill, the energy, the passion. Every release captured a moment in time, driving with clear emotion, purpose, and ambition.
In recent years, HeEro has performed on notable stages, and continues to push the boundaries in the studio. Following two years worth of composing and recording, summer 2018 saw him announce the completion of his game-changing album ‘Foreshadowing’. Despite years of experience leading upto it, this still feels like absolutely the beginning. Big things lie ahead, and now is a better time than any to get on-board. Straight saucing his way through the ranks slowly.
